On October 16, Consul General Qin Jie visited NDTV Profit Mumbai and exchanged views with Senior Executive Editor Niraj Shah and other staff members.

Mr. Qin highlighted the key features of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and its achievements in poverty alleviation. He said that under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, people of all ethnic groups across the country united and supported each other, achieving the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and are now advancing Chinese modernization through the high-quality implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Qin pointed out that China and India share a traditional friendship. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both nations, bilateral relations continue to improve, offering immense potential for cooperation in areas such as media and youth exchange. He also exchanged views with the host on topics including China’s infrastructure development, healthcare system, etc.

Mr. Shah introduced the operations of the station and expressed his hope to strengthen media cooperation with China.
