On October 3, Consul General Qin Jie led a team to visit a village in the Sangli district of Maharashtra, going to the farmlands and a local primary school to interact with farmers, teachers, and students.

Mr. Qin inquired in detail about crop growth and local living and production conditions. He noted that the recent meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi at the BRICS Summit in New Delhi has steered the bilateral relationship forward. As neighbors, China and India stand to benefit their people by strengthening friendly exchanges and achieving shared development.
