On October 5, Consul General Qin Jie visited Ashoka Universal School in Nashik and exchanged views with Mr. S.P.Shukla, Secretary of the Ashoka Education Foundation, Ms. Astha Kataria, Managing Trustee of Ashoka Group of Schools, as well as faculty and student representatives.

Qin Jie said that both China and India are ancient civilizations with a rich tradition of valuing education. During recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Xi Jinping proposed that the two countries should calibrate the direction of bilateral relations with an objective and rational strategic perception, achieve mutual success through a win-win approach to cooperation, eliminate interference with the political wisdom of mutual respect and understanding, and benefit the wider world through open and inclusive multilateral coordination. This has anchored the course for the development of bilateral ties and presented new opportunities to deepen exchanges in education, culture, youth, and other fields. He expressed hope that young Indians would cultivate a global perspective, deepen their understanding and perception of China, and contribute to the stable and positive development of bilateral relations. Qin also answered students' questions regarding China's economic development, applications of artificial intelligence, and reforms in its educational system.

Mr. Shukla and Ms. Kataria introduced the school's educational philosophy and development status, expressing their desire to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in cultural and educational fields to foster people-to-people connections.
