On April 24, Consul General Qin Jie met with Zubin Bamji, Regional Head- airports at Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and his delegation.

Consul General Qin Jie welcomed Bamji and his delegation, and provided a comprehensive overview of the remarkable achievements in China’s economic and social development since the reform and opening-up, as well as the strategic plans and key priorities of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Consul General Qin noted that as the flagship carrier of Hong Kong, China, Cathay Pacific has long played a vital role in the international aviation sector. Currently, some direct flight routes between China and India have officially resumed operations, presenting new and significant opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in aviation, people-to-people exchanges, and economic and trade cooperation. He expressed hope that Cathay Pacific would continue to leverage its strengths to help deepen and solidify people-to-people exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between China and India.

Mr. Banji outlined Cathay Pacific’s route network and operational status in South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He expressed the airline’s willingness to fully leverage its strengths in route networks, service standards, and operational management to continuously deepen communication and collaboration with the Consulate General, jointly promoting the healthy, orderly, and sustainable development of the China-India aviation markets.
