On December 28, Consul General Qin Jie attended on invitation and delivered a speech at the screening of the Chinese film My Country, My Parents hosted by India China Academy. About 60 students learning Chinese and friends attended.

Mr. Qin noted in his speech that China’s development achievements today are the results of decades of dedicated work. The fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made top-level designs and strategic plans for China's economic and social development in the 15th Five-Year Plan period, which will bring new opportunities to the world. He expressed hope that the students will learn Chinese well, gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture by watching the film, and have a chance to travel and study in China in the future, so as to promote exchanges and dialogue between Chinese and Indian youth and serve as a bridge and bond for friendly exchanges between two nations. At the end of his speech, Mr. Qin wished all the teachers and students a happy New Year and every success in their future endeavors.
The students said that the film helped them gain a deep understanding of China’s history of endeavor.
