On December 17th, Consul General Qin Jie met with Sumit Khaneja, Senior Vice President of Axis Bank and Head of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Financing. Consulor Zhang Hongyu also attended.

Khaneja provided a brief overview of Axis Bank and expressed the desire to provide more financial services to Chinese enterprises. Consul General Qin highlighted China's recent development achievements and provided an overview of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He emphasized that the recent improvement in China-India relations provides more opportunities for business investments from both countries. He highlighted that Chinese companies are increasingly focused on expanding into global markets and expressed hope that India would continue to improve policies to facilitate this growth. He encouraged Axis Bank to deepen its collaboration with Chinese counterparts and to seize the opportunities arising from China’s further development.
