On December 11, Consul General Qin Jie met with Prof. N.K.Lokanath, Vice Chancellor, University of Mysore.

Mr. Qin said, since last year, the two successful meetings between leaders of China and India have created new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in culture, education, and other areas. Education is the foundation of a country’s development, and the youth are the future of a country. China's 15th Five-Year Plan highlights the integrated promotion of education, science, technology, and talent development, which is of great and far-reaching significance. The University of Mysore has rich experience in cooperation with China, which provides a strong basis to build on its advantages in enhancing exchanges between young students of China and India and deepening mutual understanding.
Mr. Lokanath said that China has achieved significant accomplishments in education, science and technology, and green development, and that he looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China and promoting exchanges between Indian and Chinese students.
