Consul General Kong Xianhua Visited ICAR Athani Krishi Vigyan Kendra

On March 6, Consul General Kong Xianhua visited ICAR Athani Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) where he held discussions with R.M. Patil, former Minister of Karnataka and founder of the Integrated Rural Development Society and agricultural experts, and delivered the speech at the  Training Centre.

Mr Kong said that food is the key to people's well-being and agriculture is of great significance in the economies of China and India, adding that in the process of promoting Chinese-style modernization, China has secured two miracles, namely rapid economic development and long-term social stability, and won the battle against poverty. This year is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India, and we hope that this will be an opportunity for the two sides to strengthen the development of green agriculture to benefit 2.8 billion people. The young diplomat of the Consulate General introduced the innovations of China's agricultural development to the farmers and friends present in Hindi.

R.M. Patel introduced to Mr. Kong the agricultural technology application and capacity assessment and demonstration carried out by the KVK., and expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with Chinese agricultural institutions to promote local agricultural development.
