Dr. Anil Pande,

Dear teachers and students,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

   Good afternoon! Namaste!

Thank you for inviting me to address you all and share the happiness on this promising occasion.

First of all, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all the students who have successfully completed their master's degree, and to the teachers who have devoted themselves to guiding the students.

As two ancient civilizations, both China and India put much emphasis on education, which has been the inner driving force of our thousands of years of civilizations. China's Confucius believed in  "Education for All Without Discrimination" , which means all people should have access to education and knowledge. The Sanskriti word "Veda", which means "knowledge", also frequently appeared in ancient Indian texts.

As President Xi Jinping said, "a country is strong when education is strong." Indian President Droupadi Murmu also said at the International Education Conference in New Zealand this Wednesday, that education is an important force for social change in India.

After the national independence and liberation, through painstaking efforts, both China and India have achieved the transformation from a Country Of Illiteracy to a Country Of Education and from a Country Of Population to a Country Of Human Resources. More than 2.8 billion of our people have gained higher education and enjoyed a better life. The achievements are hard won, we need to work harder!

Dear students, China is working hard on Chinese path to modernization and bringing new opportunities to the world, especially to neighboring countries. India is also pursing the 'Viksit Bharat 2047'. I hope you can apply the knowledge you have learned in this college into the vigorous national construction, actively participate in the cause of China-India friendship and cooperation, continue the friendship between the two countries, act as envoys and bridges for cooperation and exchanges between China and India, and make the Chinese dream and the Indian dream come true together!

Last but not least, you are most welcome to visit and explore China. The Consulate-General of China in Mumbai is ready to do all we can to help you.

After 5 days, here comes India’s 78th Independence Day. Happy Independence Day to all of you!

Wish you a happy graduation and a bright future!

May China-India friendship take on a new level with your efforts.

Thank you!
