Consul General Kong Xianhua Meets with Media Friend

On Aug 4th , Chinese Consul General in Mumbai Mr. Kong Xianhua met with Mr. R N Bhaskar, consultant editor for Free Press Journal and columnist.

Mr. Bhaskar highly appraised the remarkable achievement China has made in economic development over the years, emphasizing China is India’s biggest trade partner and China-India cooperation would benefit both the two countries. He is more than pleased to introduce a real China to Indian audience and help them understand the benefits China-India cooperation will bring to India and the region. He sincerely hoped that India and China would make further progress in exchanges of economy, media, film industry, education and other various fields.

Consul General Kong extended his appreciation and tribute to Mr. Bhaskar for his contributions to China-India friendship and mutual understanding. He said that China and India both have large population and enormous market. And the two countries should enjoy vast potential for cooperation. He is ready to work together with people from all sectors in the consular district to strengthen mutual exchanges, cooperation and understanding.

Kong said that the U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s mousy visit to China’s Taiwan region seriously infringes on China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. There is but one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and the Government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. The One-China principle is an overwhelming consensus among the international community including India and the political foundation for China and countries it has diplomatic ties with to develop bilateral relations. No forces and no individual should ever misestimate the firm resolve, strong will and great capability of the Chinese Government and people to defend state sovereignty and territorial integrity and to achieve national reunification and rejuvenation.
