On August 2, Mr. Kong Xianhua, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Mumbai, met with Mr. Sudheendra Kulkarni, former President of ORF (Mumbai).

Mr. Kong appreciated Mr. Sudheendra Kulkarni for his longtime efforts and contribution to China-India relationship, emphasizing that mutual understanding between the 2 most populous civilizations are very important. He further said that Mumbai, the economic center and financial hub of India, is the gateway of bilateral economic cooperation, so that he will make every effort to bridge business cooperation between China and the consular district by joint efforts with Indian friends.

Mr. Kulkarni introduced the broader picture of Mumbai to CG, saying that he will do more to introduce the real China to the Indian people and suggesting CG to pay more attention to the real India. Mr. Kulkarni emphasized that considering the tough situation of current world economy, India and China have every reason to work together rather than against each other. When India and China join hands, we can do more good for our two peoples and the world as well. 

Mr. Kong thanked Mr. Kulkarni for his insightful introduction and expressed the willingness to have more conversations and meetings with more friends in the coming days.
